There are some very special classes and workshops next week that we would like to bring to your attention.


Monday 24th February


The Second Half Centre will be welcoming back Greek chef Matoula Ploumidi on Monday for our International Cooking class held between 12pm and 1.30pm.Sign up now for an authentic taste of Greece.


Tuesday 25th February


We will be starting a new 6 week course called Cook and Taste at The Second Half Centre. Learn how to create meals packed full of flavour and nourishment. Each session will focus on a different aspect of healthy eating and will be followed by a delicious and healthy meal for members to enjoy together. Sign up now at reception.


Wednesday 26th February


Due to popular demand The Second Half Centre will be holding an additional Zumba class every Wednesday 3.00pm – 4.00pm .Come and join the talented Lindale Thompson for this up beat and ‘feel-good’ class

Thursday 27th February

Come and Lunch, Laugh and Linger at The Second Half Centre on Thursday 27thFebruary 12.30pm – 2.00pm for our monthly Lunch Club. Enjoy a glass of wine, delicious meal and the best company in town! Sign up now!



Staying Strong Yoga on Thursday 27th February will be held at 10.30am to11.30am, instead of the usual time of 11.45am – 12.45pm. The class will return to its usual time slot the following week.
Salsa has been cancelled for the remainder of the term.


ESOL will be held at 12.30pm – 2pm instead of 1pm – 2.30pm on Friday 28th February.


French will be held at 3pm – 4pm instead of 2.30pm – 3.30pm on Friday 28th February.




Freeny Yianni Hammick, who helped build Charles Saatchi’s world famous art collection, will be holding the first of a special two part Investing in Contemporary Art workshop on Wednesday 5th March and Wednesday 12thMarch 2.00pm – 4.00pm. Freeny will be examining all aspects of contemporary art from painting and sculpture to photography. Join Maria Cristina White-da Cruz to explore Westminster Cathedral on Friday 7th March as part of the Discovering World Religions Through Art, Objects and Sacred Spaces class. Meet Maria outside the front entrance of the cathedral at 10.00am to discover more about this London Landmark.
